Dr. Ley has 21 years of teaching and research experience in equine medicine and reproduction through his professional associations with the University of California at Davis, Texas A & M University, the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (VMRCVM), and Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. As Head of the Department of Clinical Sciences at Oklahoma State University, he was in charge of the clinical training programs for all third and fourth year veterinary students. He has published well over 70 refereed and scientific journal articles. He is often a hired as a speaker on equine reproduction topics across the country and worldwide.
