Dr. Tania Woerner, Tally Oaks Veterinary Services

Dr. Woerner believes in an all-encompassing, holistic approach to equine care that includes education, prevention, conventional therapy and acupuncture. Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with our clients is our number one priority.

 

Dr. Woerner is available for small animal services including vaccination, deworming and general health care and are performed at the client’s house/barn.

About Dr. Woerner, VMD:

Tania received her V.M.D. degree from University of Pennsylvania and her B.S. from Albright College in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from University of Pennsylvania, she was employed by several highly respected equine practices specializing in reproduction (Dr. W. Soloman, York, PA), racetrack practice (Drs. Tiegland, Franklin and Brokken, Miami, FL) and general equine practice (Southern Maryland Equine Veterinary Services, Upper Marlboro, MD).

 

She also worked as a Veterinary Medical Officer for the Food and Drug Administration where she specialized in equine pharmaceutical research and development. Dr. Woerner has received certification in equine acupuncture and has been trained in equine osteopathy. In addition to running TOVS, Dr. Woerner breeds and trains Thoroughbred and Warmblood horses and foxhunts with several Northern Virginia hunts. She is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) and the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association (VVMA).
